A. Help the artist of The Year of the Snake - Jennifer Wood
---
Celebrate 2025 with the revised edition (bilingual in simplified Chinese) of The Year of the Snake from our popular annual series Tales from the Chinese Zodiac.
Suzie's inspiring adventure is brought to life by animator Jennifer Wood. Jennifer amazingly illustrated The Year of the Dragon and Horse. Generations of families have loved her artwork for decades!
Sadly, Jennifer lost her dear Altadena home in the destructive Eaton fire in January. Please consider helping Jennifer by donating to her GoFundMe, organized by her friends and colleagues.
Generously, Jennifer returned to the Huntington Library (San Marino,CA) for its festival on February 1st and 2nd to greet visitors. She autographed of The Year of the Snake and drew heartwarming art in her other books.

"Recommended:
Fast paced and engaging throughout, Julie Black Belt: The Belt of Fire will hold the attention of young readers. As with the first book, Charlene Chua's illustrations are bright, cartoon-like feasts of colour that invoke a sense of movement that will keep young eyes flowing from page to page."

More Awesome Asian Americans
by Phil Amara and Oliver Chin
illustrated by Juan Calle
"In 2050 minorities will become the majority in America. But we still have a long way to go. Here's a book describing 20 "Awesome" Asian American trailblazers who are paving the way in diverse fields. Many of them, however, are not household names.
Juan Calle's illustrations are especially engaging, and make you want to know much more about the person."
