The Year of the Horse:
from our popular annual series
Tales from the Chinese Zodiac.
This year Hannah the Horse is raring to go! Her parents are talented at what they do. Befriending the boy Tom, Hannah wonders what she'll be good at. When the opportunity arises, this youngster wants to prove that she's got what it takes!
Hannah shares her incredible journey in a revised edition, bilingual in simplified Chinese. Energetically illustrated by animator (and horse lover) Jennifer Wood, Hannah inspires kids to go for it!
The lunar new year starts on February 17th.

Jeff Miracola, the artist of
- Welcome to Monster Isle
has painted hundreds of cards for the legendary game Magic the Gathering. Players summon creatures and cast spells to defeat their foes in a multi-verse of different worlds which have heroes, villains, stories, and myths. Jeff teaches aspiring artists through his Fantasy Art Workshop.
Enjoy Juan, Jeff, and our other artists' wonderful worlds in our colorful storybooks.
C. Lunar New Year in Los Angeles

Join us for fun storytimes for The Year of the Horse. We'll read throughout Southern California the week of February 17th-25th.
Author Oliver Chin will host family programs at public libraries in the city and county of Los Angeles.
Artist Jennifer Wood will join Oliver to autograph at the Huntington Library's annual weekend celebration February 21-22.
In our LA book tour, we still have openings for school visits - contact us! Students, teachers, and librarians enjoy our engaging presentations.
