Permissions
Summary
Immedium is happy to grant permission to reprint or use materials from our books for commercial, academic, non-profit, and independent use. Permission is granted for one-time use of the material only.Permission is not granted for any future editions or for electronic publications, unless explicitly negotiated. Please see our permissions policy at the bottom of the page. Immedium may not grant permission for titles out-of-print as rights revert to the author(s).
What to Include:
1) The title in question:- Page numbers of text you intend to use
- including copies of the specific pages is recommended.
2) Your company information and proposal
- Whether your organization is non-profit or for-profit
- Intentions for the text
- Number of copies to be made of text
3) Your contact information
- contact name and mailing address
- phone and fax number
- email address and web site
4) Any other information that would be important to consider
Note: if you are proposing to excerpt the text, you must fax or mail us a copy of the text showing the selections you are using and/or deleting.
Fee Structure
Commercial Publisher fee:- $35/page for the first 6 pages
- $25/page for the next 6 pages
- $10/page for each succeeding page.
Academic or non-profit fee:
- $25/page for the first 6 pages
- $15/page for the next 6 pages
- $10/page for each succeeding page.
Academic/Library reserve fee*:
- $25/10 pages
- $50/20 pages
- $75/30 pages
- and so on in $25 increments for 10 pages.
*These fees are granted for up to 200 students and should be doubled if there are more than 200 students using the text.
Independent/Solidarity project:
- $15 per page for the first 6 pages
- $10 per page for each succeeding page.
Academic reproductions
- 5 cents per page per copy.
Web rights
Immedium does not currently grant web or electronic rights. If you are interested in obtaining permission for web or electronic rights, please send a letter explaining your intentions for the text.Immedium Copyright Policy
Any properly footnoted quotation of up to 500 sequential words may be used without permission, as long as the total number of words does not exceed 2,000.
